Seaspan was a small coastal company in 1898 called Seaspan Marine- servicing BC’s coastal communities. Since then, Seaspan has evolved into an acclaimed marine transportation company serving the West Coast of North America providing marine-related services to the Pacific Northwest.
Seaspan is an association of Canadian companies primarily involved in costal marine transportation, Ship docking/ship escort, ship repair and shipbuilding services in Western North America. The Group has a ferry business, three shipyards, and a tug and barge transportation organization that serves both domestic and international markets.
In addition to the marine transportation services offered directly through Seaspan, commercial ferry, shipyard and bunkering services are provided via affiliate companies like Marine Petrobulk, Seaspan Ferries, Vancouver Drydock, Vancouer shipyards and Victoria Shipyards.
